Join us for the season’s first film and discussion evening with Imbi Paju’s internationally acclaimed documentary Memories Denied (2005). The film uncovers the hidden side of World War II – human rights violations against women – through the memories of Estonian women who suffered under Stalin’s terror.
After the screening, a discussion with the author Imbi Paju, writer Lilli Luuk, and professor Eneken Laanes will explore how historical trauma has shaped us and our collective memory. (The discussion will be held in Estonian.)

 Please register here.

The book Memories Denied will be available for purchase at the event (cash only).
