Discover History, Create Media, Connect Across Borders – June 23–26, 2025

Liberation Route Europe (LRE) has announced the next edition of its international Youth Exchange Programme, taking place 23–26 June 2025 in Normandy, France. This unique opportunity is open to young participants aged 18 to 25 from across Europe, offering an immersive journey into the region’s pivotal role in World War II history.

The 2025 exchange will focus on the Allied D-Day landings, which took place 81 years ago along the coast of Normandy—an event that marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe. Participants will visit historically significant sites and engage in discussions that explore the legacy of war, peace, and remembrance.

In addition to guided site visits, the programmme encourages participants to become content creators. Through workshops and collaborative activities, attendees will learn how to produce podcasts, create videos, and write historical narratives—capturing their personal reflections and preserving stories for future generations.

All details, including how to register, are available at www.lre-youth.eu. Interested participants are encouraged to apply early, as spaces are limited.

LRE also offers five other international youth exchanges throughout the year, each focused on different aspects of World War II history. Those passionate about remembrance, storytelling, and European heritage are encouraged to explore the full programme on the website.
